Hawthorn Surgery Center opened in 1980 as one of the first free standing outpatient surgery centers in Illinois.  We presently have 3 operating rooms and one procedure room.  We are located within the Hawthorn Health Center on the first floor.  Handicapped access is available via our underground parking lot on the south side of the building.

Specialty Surgeons from Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pain Management, ENT, Gynecology, Plastics, Dentistry and General Surgery routinely provide services at our Center.

Anesthesia services are provided by Park Ridge Anesthesia from Lutheran General Hospital.
All Nurses are ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) trained and many are PALS (pediatric advanced life support) trained, ensuring a high level of care for our patients.

Most insurance plans are accepted, but we will verify coverage prior to any surgery and discuss how best to handle your insurance needs with you personally.

From our Fellowship Trained Surgeons; Board Certified anesthesiologists, and a highly trained Nursing Staff; you can be assured of the quality of care you will receive.
